The Maverick 400 has been nominated for the 2013 Boat of the Year Award. This puts Maverick into head-to-head competition with the Hélia 44 (by Fountaine Pajot), the Nautitech 441 and Neel 45 Trimaran. All three French catamarans are on average 4-5 feet longer than the Maverick 400, which makes the Maverick the most affordable catamaran in the competition.
In comparison the Maverick 400 offers an immense amount of interior space for its length, has exceptional levels of luxury with an amazing ergonomic layout to enjoy sailing with friends and family.
Rudi Pretorius "The Annapolis show was a great success. We were extremely happy to welcome so many enthusiastic Maverick fans onto the Maverick 400, and finally give many people in North America the opportunity to step aboard a Maverick. We were showered with complements from everyone who stepped aboard. People who entered the saloon for the first time exclaimed "Wow!" and asked how it was possible to fit so much interior space on a 40ft catamaran? People were impressed with the design and the high quality of the finishes and décor. Perfectionists pointed out the exceptional detail in the well-rounded finishes on the stainless steel work, the high quality and depth of the shimmering oyster-coloured gel coat, and the sumptuous and stylish interior decor. Everybody welcomed the new fresh Maverick design with so many unique, well thought-out features.
The Maverick appeals to the discerning yacht buyer who appreciates refinement in design, top quality finishes and the best specifications - this is brought together with endless possibilities to personalise your Maverick to your own taste."
At the U.S. Sail Boat Show the Maverick was also a nominated finalist in the Sail Magazine Best Boat 2013.
The 2013 BOTY winners will be announced in the January issue of Cruising World - which is set to hit news stands in mid-December 2012.
Both Sail Magazine and Cruising World magazine went for test Sails on the Maverick 400 and will be publishing articles on the Maverick 400, so watch out for these in their forthcoming issues.
